Description

Evergreen Juniper, vigorous, spreading, with short non-sprickly scaly light yellow leaves, becoming yellow-green with shade. This variety is an improvement of Juniperus x media 'Pfitzeriana Aurea', more creeping and of brighter yellow all year round. Nice medium green foliage is brightly tipped in golden yellow. This gives the plant almost a "frosted" look, almost like you had dipped each little branch at the very ends in yellow paint. Very pretty plant - also very hardy. A sport of Pfitzer Juniper that is excellent for a mid-range foundation/hedge type planting. Also works for accent plantings as well. Golden yellow highlights will fade during winter months but return again with the onset of warmer weather / temps in the spring. Has slightly lower growth habit than Gold Lace or Gold Tip Pfitzer and foliage is much more juvenile, slightly more dense at maturity. They are very flat-topped spreader and closed, scale-like foliage is paired with open-scaled foliage on the same plant. They have golden, lacy foliage on the ends of new, growth tips.

Environment
Landscape Use

It can be used as an ornamental plant, embankment and low shrub bed.

Foliage plants in general need access to bright indirect sunlight. Avoid keeping them in direct sunlight as it can cause leaves to burn due to extreme sunlight in the afternoon.

Make sure watering is done once the soil goes dry. Although the soil can remain moist, but it should not turn soggy/wet. Having drainage hole in the pots goes a long way in ensuring there is no water stagnating on top of the soil. You can spray the plant occasionally.

Fertilise the plant once a month in summers however Don't feed any fertiliser in winters. Giving fertiliser to the plant ensures nutrients going in which keeps it healthy. Keep an eye on the leaves of the plant to know any symptoms for watering or sunlight.
