Description

This vigorous, mat-forming, evergreen species has electric golden-yellow foliage that holds its color through the heat of summer. The foliage tips sometimes develop an orangey hue. In summer, 'Angelina' has terminal clusters of star-shaped, vibrant yellow flowers. The drooping buds face upward when they open and the plant can grow to 6 inches tall and 12 inches wide. It is superlative as a ground cover, spilling over rock walls, and in containers. It also makes an excellent accent for plants with dark foliage

Care

Follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Once established, needs only occasional watering. Provide well-drained, gravelly soil in full sun. It can also take a bit of shade. Give this freely spreading plant room to grow.Control weeds until the plants have filled in. Feed with a general purpose fertilizer.

Landscape Use

Suitable for Container, Rock Garden, Ground Cover & Xeriscaping

Most succulents need to be watered twice a week during summers and only once in monsoon & winters. Varieties like Haworthias, Crassulas and Gasterias are well suited for low-light indoors and window-sills. If the leaves get too bulky, it is a sign of overwatering & if the leaves look shrivelled it is a sign of less watering.

As a general rule of thumb, all the ones with colourful leaves like Echeverias, Sedeveria and Graptopetalum like bright sunlight and semi shade in extreme summers. They cannot be kept indoors or in full shade. All succulents love morning sun.

You can fertilise your succulent once a month.

Watering tips : Make sure NOT to water on the plant itself. Water directly in the soil. You can use a cup or a glass to make sure the water does not spray on leaves. When watering, make sure water comes out of the drainage hole.
