Sucking Insects feeds on : Plant Sap

Damage symptoms include: spots or lesions, scarring, bronzing or silvering on plant tissue. Plants may appear stunted or develop yellow or brown leaves. Sap sucking insects excrete honeydew which promotes the growth of black sooty mould

Examples : aphid, mealy bugs, whiteflies, scale insects, mites, thrips and hoppers have piercing mouthparts, vectors of plant viral diseases
