Description
Dyckia platyphylla Silver is a handsome, clustering little cultivars that marks the passing of time with new short stiff leaves in the rosette centres that are yellow, more precisely the lower half or so of new leaves is a canary yellow colour, tips and outers far more green. As the foliage ages it slowly changes to solid dark green. It forms large clusters of 10(-15) cm plants in a relatively short time and are very dramatic when they glow.
The small spikes of beautiful yellow flowers rise above the foliage in summers.
Environment
Suited for a warm and humid climate, this thrives best in a little shades sunlight and responds well to warmth. It requires water when the soil becomes dry to touch specially during growing season and during summers. Watering should be minimal during winters
