Product Description

Coco pole is a supporting pole for potted plant creepers to grow in-door as well as out-door gardens. The high moisture retention capacity of the stick enables the roots of the plant to grip natural organic mattress of coir fiber.

Description:

A coco pole is a sturdy support stake designed for potted climbers and creepers, suitable for both indoor and outdoor gardens. It is ideal for climbing plants and vine species with aerial roots, especially members of the Araceae family such as Philodendrons, Monsteras, Pothos, Scindapsus, Rhaphidophora, Syngonium, Peace Lily, Dieffenbachia, and Alocasia.

The pole’s high moisture-retaining coir fiber surface allows aerial roots to firmly attach and absorb water and nutrients. When watered or misted regularly, the coco pole creates a natural, organic medium that encourages stronger root development. Unlike traditionally potted plants that rely mainly on soil roots, plants supported by a coco pole benefit from both terrestrial and aerial roots, resulting in healthier and more vigorous growth.

Made from 100% eco-friendly, biodegradable coconut fibers wrapped around a durable PVC pipe, this plant support ensures excellent water retention and long-lasting performance.

Material: Coir with PVC pipe
Color: Brown & Green
Note: Available in various lengths and can be customized as per customer requirements.

Step 1- Before putting to use, soak the Coco Coir wrapped pole. Doing this breaks up the surface tension and get rids of any hydrophobic tendencies of the dehydrated coco coir and allows the coir to hold and draw up humidity for the plant more easily.
Step 2-Combine pot, plant, pole & soil -If it’s more aesthetically pleasing to you to to put the pole at the back of the pot and the plant to the front or put the pole in the center of the pot and arrange a multi stem plant all around the pole. Either way as the plant grows in and the leaves get larger the coco pole will be less noticeable.
Step 3- Attach the plant to the pole - use zip ties or jute twine as it’s reusable and won’t harm emerging leaves or unhardened growth.
Step 4-Drench the pole -Place the pot, plant and pole under warm (room temp) water and let it run off, through and saturate both soil and pole. Whenever you water, make sure to get the pole wet as well.
Depending on the humidity level in your home, you may need to mist the pole and emerging aerial roots once or twice daily. Unless you have adequate airflow we would not recommend getting leaves wet, especially at night as it may promote fungal growth on leaves.
