Description
Bougainvillea are scandent evergreen shrubs, sometimes thorny, with simple ovate leaves and clusters of small tubular flowers each enclosed by 3 showy, brightly coloured ovate bracts.There is no other plant to bloom so profusely, with such bright colors.
Bougainvillea glabra ‘Snow White’ is a cultivated variety of Bougainvillea glabra ‘Choicy’ which have white floral bracts with greenish veins. It is strong-growing, evergreen climber with elliptic, semi-glossy, mid-to deep green leaves, to 13cm long. Height 5-8m.
Environment
Bougainvillea are easy to grow and flower if grown under maximum light and stressed with dryness. Bring the soil to a state of visual dryness between watering. The best flowering occurs when the plants are brought to a slight wilt between watering. When watering, thoroughly saturate the soil until a little water runs out of the bottom of the pot. Growing in a clay pot will help maintain a healthy root system.

Fertilize with a balanced, soluble fertilizer every two weeks at tsp of fertilizer per gallon of water. Reduce the frequency during the winter months, especially under cool temperatures.
