Ficus pumila ‘Variegata’ displays heart-shaped, thumbnail-sized leaves with broad white margins on a creeping to climbing tropical vine with wiry stems.
Creeping fig thrives well in indirect sunlight. Plant in a location which protected from wind and afternoon sun. Grow indoors in a soil-based potting mix in bright indirect light or part shade.
This plant is easily grown in humus-rich, moist, well-drained soils. Keep the soil moist by watering daily. Use general purpose fertilizer every 15 days
Variegated Creeping Fig is perfect in hanging baskets and vivaria. Fast, rampant grower, easily pruned to desired size
Use a well draining soil to pot the ficus. You can alternatively also use a combination of coco peat, perlite and compost. Over watering is as detrimental as under watering for ficus. Make sure you pour just enough water into the pot to seep through the drainage holes. Best way to measure it are the leaves. If the leaves fold easily, you make have over watered it. If the leaves are crinkly you may have under watered it.
