Hyacinth Mix | Premium Spring Flowering Bulbs
Family
Asparagaceae
Origin
South Africa
Description
Hyacinth Mix Bulbs bring a delightful burst of colour and fragrance to early spring gardens. They have long been prized for their dense flower spikes and sweet perfume.
Each bulb produces a compact cluster of star-shaped blossoms in shades of pink, purple, blue, white, cream, and apricot, forming showy cones ideal for borders and containers. Plants typically reach 20–30 cm in height with an upright habit and glossy green foliage.
Plant bulbs from October to December in plains and November to January in hilly regions to enjoy flowers in February–March and March–April, respectively.
Environment
Hyacinth bulbs thrive best in well-drained loam soil enriched with compost or leaf mould. Water moderately to maintain moist—but not waterlogged—conditions. They prefer full sun but can also flourish in partial shade, with planting depths of 5–6 inches. Suitable for cool, partially shaded environments, their optimal temperature range is between 10 to 18 °C. During the growth phase, apply a balanced NPK fertilizer or bone meal to support healthy bulb development.
Landscape Use
Grape hyacinths are good for planting in rock gardens, in the front of beds and borders, or along walkways and paths.
