White Passionflower
Origin
Southeast America
Family
Passifloraceae
Description
Passiflora Constance Elliott is a really exotic-looking plant, with unusual, fragrant, large white flowers with pale blue or white spiky filaments. The flowers are followed by orange-yellow, egg-shaped fruit.
The leaves are pretty, too, deeply lobed, dark green and glossy. This elegant white passion flower is a vigorous, trouble-free climber that thrives in hot summers and will quickly cover a sunny wall or fence..
Passiflora is known for attracting bees. It has nectar/pollen rich flowers.
Environment
Full sun, a southern exposure, is necessary for optimum growth and flowering. If flowers fail to open, it is usually due to insufficient light.
Bring the soil to a state of visual dryness between waterings. When watering, thoroughly saturate the soil until a little water runs out of the bottom of the pot. Growing in a clay pot will help maintain a healthy root system
