Product Description

Adeniums are one of the easiest to grow and most rewarding of the fat plants (caudiciforms). Adeniums do not like both over-watering and drying-out.Adeniums plants, also known as Bangkok kalachuchi , require bright sunlight for proper development.

Golden Yellow Double Blooms with Rich Crimson Edges

Adenium 'Golden Ember' is a premium Desert Rose cultivar belonging to the Apocynaceae family and originating from the arid regions of Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. Developed through selective breeding of Adenium obesum hybrids, this exceptional variety is admired for its compact branching habit, attractive swollen caudex, excellent heat tolerance, and prolonged flowering season. Its remarkable flower form and vibrant colour combination make it a prized addition to ornamental gardens and collector collections.

Golden Ember produces exquisite double blooms with luminous golden-yellow petals beautifully framed by rich crimson-red margins. The densely layered central rosette resembles a miniature rose, while the contrasting crimson edges create the appearance of glowing embers surrounding the flower. Blooming repeatedly throughout the warm season, this elegant variety adds warmth and sophistication to balconies, patios, terraces, and decorative planters, where its vibrant blooms and sculptural caudex create a stunning focal point.

Environment

Sunlight: Thrives in full sun and requires at least 5–6 hours of direct sunlight daily for vigorous growth, abundant flowering, and healthy caudex development.

Watering: Water thoroughly when the growing medium becomes nearly dry. Avoid overwatering and ensure excellent drainage to prevent root rot.

Soil: Prefers a fast-draining succulent mix containing coarse sand, coco peat, and perlite for healthy root development.

Fertilizer: Feed every 2–4 weeks during active growth with a balanced flowering fertilizer rich in phosphorus to encourage prolific blooms and robust caudex formation.

Landscape Uses

  • Excellent specimen plant for decorative pots and premium planters.
  • Ideal for balconies, patios, terraces, and sunny courtyards.
  • Adds vibrant tropical colour to gardens, entrances, and outdoor living spaces.
  • Suitable for bonsai-style cultivation and caudex displays.
  • A prized collector's variety admired for its golden double blooms with striking crimson edges.

Adeniums are one of the easiest to grow and most rewarding of the fat plants (caudiciforms). Their adaptability to a broad range of conditions makes them forgiving of less than ideal care. This attribute enables just about anyone to grow and bloom them despite individual climate.

Adeniums need bright sunlight to have a robust growth. Water adeniums in the early mornings and give them the entire day to soak it in. Watering can be once in a few days. Adeniums do not like both over-watering and complete drying out. Add Pebbles or Stones in the pot’s bottom to ensure good drainage. Never let water stagnate on top of the soil layer as this can cause excessive water getting soaked in the stem. Use fertiliser once a month for getting a fatter trunk and increase in flowering.

Pruning time for adeniums is in the summer, where they can heal quickly from the wounds. Pruning is mainly to give adenium a proper shape or to turn it into a Bonsai.
