Description
Aphrodite's Purple Nightie bears 3-4" wide flowers composed of with deep purple petals and sepals topped by a purple crown, with blue, and white filaments. This vine has 3 lobed dark green leaves that stay looking attractive all summer long.
Dozens of 3″ purple flowers are produced all summer long atop an attractive, vigorous, free-flowering vine. Buttflies are extremly fond of Passion flowers.
Environment
Full sun, a southern exposure, is necessary for optimum growth and flowering. If flowers fail to open, it is usually due to insufficient light.
Bring the soil to a state of visual dryness between waterings. When watering, thoroughly saturate the soil until a little water runs out of the bottom of the pot. Growing in a clay pot will help maintain a healthy root system.
Landscape
Great for trellises and hanging baskets.
