Description
Bauhinia malabarica is a fairly fast-growing evergreen or nearly evergreen tree growing up to 4 - 17 metres tall with a short often gnarled bole. The leaves are bilobed, shaped like an ox hoof & they are 6 to 15 centimeters long and broad. Flowers are 1/2 inch long, dull-white with splash of pink, often uni-sexual, on very slender stalks, which are 1 in. long. . The fruit is a pod 7.5-15cm long. These plants can flower all year round.
Environment
Bauhinia acuminate can succeed in full sun to partial shade. They prefer fertile, well-drained but moisture retentive soil and moderate watering.

It is used as an ornamental and hedge plant in the gardening.
