Castor Cake Nitrogen Fertilizer & Pest Repellent

Description

Castor Cake is a premium organic fertilizer made from the residue of castor seeds after oil extraction. Rich in nitrogen and containing bioactive substances such as ricin and residual castor oil, it supports robust plant growth while naturally deterring soil pests, nematodes, and harmful fungi.

This manure enhances soil microbial activity and offers insecticidal benefits, making it ideal for organic farming across all soil types. Additionally, Castor Cake is suitable for turf and lawns, promoting strong root development and improving cold tolerance during winter.

Application
  • As a soil amendment

apply 50–100g per plant mixed into the topsoil at planting or every 30 days. For garden beds, use 250–300g per square meter before sowing.

For trees and shrubs, spread 1–2 kg around the drip line. Avoid excessive use on seedlings or potted plants and combine with compost for best results.

  • When used as a base manure

apply 10 to 15 days prior to planting by spreading on the soil. For maintenance fertilization, lightly incorporate it into the surface and water gently if needed.

Benefits of Castor Cake
  • Rich in Nitrogen – supports lush, healthy plant growth

  • Acts as a natural soil pest repellent (nematodes, insects)

  • Improves soil fertility and microbial activity

  • Ideal for vegetables, flowering plants, trees & shrubs

  • 100% organic and eco-friendly soil amendment

Precautions:
  • Has a strong odor – apply and cover with soil immediately

  • Keep away from pets and children (contains natural toxins)

  • Do not apply directly to very young roots without mixing

To be stored in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Needless to say, it should never be stored unprotected outside for any length of time. Rain will wash away a lot of the beneficial compounds (nutrients etc), and the sun can dry out the material too much as well.
