Description

Haworthia Lotusiana is a leaf succulent plant with leaves arranged in a floral rosette form.

Haworthias are a small species of evergreen succulent plants with short leaves arranged in rosettes, often forming a clump. Haworthia plants are shade loving plants best suitable for small containers or even make a good choice for terrariums. Produce offsets easily which can be later separated from the mother plant for propagating them to become new plants.

Environment

Occasional spraying is fine, but above all plenty of fresh air. Care must be taken with watering. Otherwise, normal watering and feeding are required. Some watering and spraying is also necessary in winter, but this depends on the over- It needs only be loose and well-drained.

Landscape Uses

Greenhouse, or outside in the open all year round, They grow just as well on a window-sill or outside, can plant them out with free root run, or in large flat trays.

Most succulents need to be watered twice a week during summers and only once in monsoon & winters. Varieties like Haworthias, Crassulas and Gasterias are well suited for low-light indoors and window-sills. If the leaves get too bulky, it is a sign of overwatering & if the leaves look shrivelled it is a sign of less watering.

As a general rule of thumb, all the ones with colourful leaves like Echeverias, Sedeveria and Graptopetalum like bright sunlight and semi shade in extreme summers. They cannot be kept indoors or in full shade. All succulents love morning sun.

You can fertilise your succulent once a month.

Watering tips : Make sure NOT to water on the plant itself. Water directly in the soil. You can use a cup or a glass to make sure the water does not spray on leaves. When watering, make sure water comes out of the drainage hole.
