Powder Puff Cactus
Mammillaria bocasana is a delightful cactus belonging to the Cactaceae family and native to Central Mexico. This attractive species is renowned for its dense covering of silky white hairs that give the plant a soft, powder-puff appearance. Hidden beneath the white hairs are distinctive yellow to reddish hooked spines that add texture and character to its compact globular stems.
Over time, the plant develops offsets and forms attractive clusters, making it a standout addition to any cactus collection. During the blooming season, it produces delicate funnel-shaped flowers in shades of creamy white to soft pink, followed by ornamental rosy-pink to red fruits that provide additional visual interest.
