Sunny Star Croton
Family
Euphorbiaceae
Origin
Southern Asia
Description
Croton Sunny Star has large, smooth, elliptical leaves, pointed at both ends with a swath of bright yellow over the lower portion usually leaving the margins and tips dark green
Environment
Crotons grow best in well-drained soil and in full sun to partial shade. Too much sun will bleach the color out of the leaves and too little will cause the leaves to be more green.
Place your croton where it will receive six to eight hours of bright, unfiltered sunlight each day. Provide shade from direct summer sun during the hottest part of the day.
Keep leaves dust-free and shiny by wiping them with a damp cloth. Dry air and soil will cause croton leaves to fall off.
